Hence, all individuals and institutions requesting the verification of graduate certificates from the University of Buea (UB) or student Credentials must follow this guide.

University of Buea Transcripts, Attestation, and Degree Verification

Since 2003, the University of Buea has been processing the verification of credentials from local and foreign universities, colleges, or institutions for free (at no extra cost). Unfortunately, the number of cases attended to has risen exponentially. This puts enormous pressure on the resources of the University of Buea.

Verification Fee

To improve on this service and better serve all institutions and undergraduates/postgraduates, UB has decided to charge a fee for this online verification service. 

Concerned individuals or organizations are required to pay a fee for the verification of student credentials as stipulated in the table below:

Mode of Payment

The payment must be made through the following channels:

• Express Union 
• MTN Mobile Money,
• ECOBANK Visa Card
• UBA VISA and Master Card via the University of Buea Online Portal.
• Through the Receipt Control Office of the University of Buea against a valid receipt.

Procedure

For institutions or individuals who decide to use the online verification portal, a complete request shall comprise: 

• A completed form, obtainable from the University of Buea online portal.
• An attachment made up of the document(s) to be verified.

For those who choose to make their request manually, a complete request shall comprise:

• A completed form, obtainable from the University of Buea Receipt Control Office, 
• An attachment made up of the document(s) to be verified.
• A receipt of payment of the appropriate fee. The complete file shall then be deposited at the Mail Office, Room 116, Central Administration of the University of Buea.

Upon confirmation of the payment by authorities of the University of Buea, the concerned entities will be notified electronically, after which you will receive a response to your request within three (3) working days (72 hours).

Note that incomplete requests will be rejected and shall not be treated.
