Description

Glykof is indicated for all kinds of coughs especially that related to pharyngitis, Bronchitis and Bronchial asthma. Ingredients of Glykof not only find place in the classical texts of Ayurveda but have also been extensively studied on the modern scientific parameters. Shudh Madhu (honey )when used as amn extract in cough mixtures, has shown effective antimicrobial activity on the upper respiratory tract bacterial pathogens. Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) /Liquorice is a demulcent. The expectorant effect of liquorice benefits patients suffering from asthma or chest congestion. Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) extracts have been found effective in decreasing symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Vasak (Adhotoda vasica ) is an expectorant used to treat cough asthma and bronchitis It has effective antitussive activity. Tusi (Ocimum Sanctum), Elaichi (Eleittaria cardamomum ) seeds and Lavang (syzygium aromaticum) are useful in asthma and bronchitis.

Dosage

Adults

2 teaspoonfuls thrice daily
Children

1 teaspoonfuls thrice daily.

Each 5 ml contains Shudh madhu (honey)1.25,Navsagar 15mg,Extracts derived from Dashamool 50mg,Bibhitaki(Terminalia belerica)35mg,Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 25mg, Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)20mg,Vasaka (Adhatoda vasica) 15mg,Karkatashringi(Rhus succedania)15mg, Tulsi Ocimum sanctum)15mg,Gojiva(Onosma bracteatum)10mg,Elaichi(Elettaria cardamomum)10mg, Lavang ( Syzygium aromaticum) 9mg, Trikatu powder 27mg ,Teja(Cinnamomum zeylanicum) 8mg,Bharangi(Clerodendron indicum) 8mg,Vacha(Acorus calamus)8mg,Flavoured base q.s preservatives sodium benzoate 0.2% w/v,sodium methylparaben 0.12%w/v,sodium propylparaben 0.02%w/v Glykof is a unique formulation recommended for patients suffering from different kind s of cough.
