As most corporate managers know, labor decisions, such as staffing, are very crucial in driving operational performance and strengthening an organization’s financials. Some of the external factors that influence these decisions include legal requirements, market trends, vacancies, and competition.
This year, the Staffing Committee of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC) convened for a regular session at the Synod Office in Buea. Chaired by the sitting Moderator of the PCC, the Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia, the committee concluded the session by announcing the following appointments, transfers, and postings. These decisions were made after singing the PCC anthem.
Every year in May or June, Parish Pastors, Teachers, Health personnel (Doctors and Nurses), and treasurers await the staffing decisions from the staffing or appointment committee of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon.
It is not uncommon for some PCC workers to see these decisions as punitive transfers and postings regarding some situations.
