Like the Real Estate sector, Cameroon’s transport system is still developing.
Cameroon is a country in west-central Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west and north; Chad to the northeast; the Central African Republic to the east; Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south. Because of its strategic position at the crossroads between West Africa and Central Africa has been categorized as being in both camps.
The population of Cameroon is nearly 30 million people. Many of these are youths who ply the roads daily.
Transport System in Cameroon
Urban Transport
The primary means of transportation in the cities are taxis and motorcycle taxis, known as “Benskin.” However, Yango, a taxi hire service, has recently joined the urban transport system.
Taxis can be hired individually or in groups for about 2,500 FCFA to 3,500 CFA per trip. Nevertheless, most small cities are just equipped with Mototaxis as transportation.
Buses, trains, and airplanes are only used in long-distance, regional transport.
