Microfinance institutions or credit unions in Cameroon are categorized as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Category 1 Microfinance Institutions in Cameroon PDF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    As earlier mentioned, most Credit Unions or Microfinance institutions in Cameroon are affiliated to a network-affiliated credit union, classified as category one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Cameroon has seven credit union networks under category 1. CamCCUL falls under this category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Category 2 Microfinance Institutions in Cameroon PDF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Most Micro Finance Institutions (MFI) in Cameroon are category one. The few categories two and three are not located in every country region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Category 2 Microfinance organizations are Limited Liability companies such as micro-banks. Deposits and savings are collected and lent to third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Category 3 MFI in Cameroon PDF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    In Category 3 MFI, deposits and savings are not collected. However, the institutions provide lending options. They include micro-credit and project financing institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
